In 1974, on a Marine Corps base in North Carolina, five combat-hardened Marines, including a sniper with Vietnam experience, encountered four Sasquatches while fishing near a river. Initially enjoying a peaceful day by a bridge and small island, their outing turned terrifying when they heard massive, bipedal creatures crashing through dense, snake-infested brush, hurling branches, and emitting bone-rattling screams. The creatures, one of which was glimpsed as an eight-foot-tall, rust-haired figure with broad shoulders, executed a series of bluff charges toward the group, alternating from both sides of the river in a seemingly coordinated effort. Retreating to the island for safety, the Marines endured fifteen minutes of this ordeal before the Sasquatches, possibly working as a group to herd them, fled downstream and upriver, leaving the men shaken and determined to keep the incident secret to protect their careers, forever altering their perception of the wilderness.

The disturbances began one winter night with loud thuds on the roof, followed by sightings of a massive, hairy, bipedal figure that crossed roads, leapt fences, and lingered near their chimney. The creature’s presence escalated over time, marked by foul odors wafting through open windows, blocked views of distant lights, and even direct confrontations, including a terrifying moment when it stared at the narrator’s father through a window. Despite attempts to scare it off with shotguns and group pursuits, the creature persisted, harassing the family nightly—hitting the house, testing doors, and leaping off the roof—leaving them in constant fear until they moved out in 1979, an event the narrator, then a child, recalls as the happiest day of their life.

6 AUG 2024 · Welcome to the Spreaker Supports Club for the What if its True Podcast. I will do exclusive podcasts for you, and only you, as much as I am able. I'd like to use this exclusive content to share with you stories that I like. That may sound selfish, but I need an creative outlet to do projects that are not related to monsters, Bigfoot, etc..
When I am away from my podcast, I do not read or follow anything, ANYTHING, related to Bigfoot or other monsters. I do enjoy the stories because they are exciting, but I have zero interest in the topic. I have made these statements through the life of this podcast and maybe you've heard me say this, but if you haven't, I don't want you to be disappointed because I can not help the way my mind works. Monsters are interesting, but I only enjoy the stories. This will give me a good experience to share with you writings that I enjoy and I hoppe you enjoy it as well.
I will keep you up to date on what I am working on, things I do not say on the public podcasts. Namely because you were good enough to hand over $4.99 a month for something just for you, and that is what I will give you in exchange for your support. I can't make promises on how often these will be uploaded. I am shooting for four or five exclusive shows each month so that it works out to you paying about a dollar per podcast. Thats not a good deal since there are so many free podcasts to listen to, but it will be the best I can do....and I hope this is enough.
